Once upon a time: one was, and one wasn’t. One was, and it isn't;
one wasn’t, and it is.
One comes, the other goes.
One stays, another also arrives.
It is all being and not being, and all about staying or going.
It is all a game of displacement, and the game-pieces are lost in the search for a place to stay.
It is all anxiety over finding a place to rest, and the result is restlessness.
It is all rules and unruliness, and winning or losing depends on rejection or acceptance. It is all disorder, and the rules are geared towards an order we presume inherent.
Each game has its own geometry.
My game is a single-player game.
Its equipment is mind and body, and its strategy is concentration and vulnerability.
And the rule is to divert the mind from whatever exists outside the circle of the game.Written by: Samira Nowparast
